The International Medical Meeting Professionals Association, IMMPA is dedicated to promoting professionalism through advocacy, education, research and service. IMMPA’s purpose is to provide conformity of medical meeting professional’s education, training, certification and networking. IMMPA supports and promotes the life sciences industry through peer directed and operated services, advocacy, career development, and global connections.
IMMPA's strives to meet the need for global, medical and independent meeting professionals to come together to discuss concepts for improvement within their industry, to exchange information of common interest, and to offer an accredited certification for qualified medical meeting professionals.
IMMPA, in an effort to maintain a strong balance of membership, will strive to establish the 50-50 planner-to-supplier ratio to permit equal opportunities for professional interaction among all aspects of the meeting industry.
IMMPA will offer the first inclusive certification, the Certified Medical Meeting Professional (CMMP). The certification will be officially launched in early summer 2010 in St. Louis.
